Aubrey's parents were both born in Guyana, South America. His father, Cyril Beresford McWatt and mother, Eileen Amelia McWatt were married in the capital city of Georgetown in 1942. They were loving parents to their three children - Aubrey, Elizabeth and Marilyn. Aubrey's parents supported his passion for art fully and gave him the freedom and tools he needed to pursue this avenue of his choice. In this photograph Aubrey's father wears a University of London Cricket Club (ULCC) blazer. He was the first colored man to captain a University Cricket team in England and later, the first colored man to captain a Combined Universities of London cricket team.

Aubrey shares his life happily with  Donna Schweibert. Mutual interest in the many art forms they practice provides a bond and a stimulus for both  to be as creative as possible, while enjoying all other aspects of their life together.
